Pray & Prepare for the Mass

January 18, 2026: 3rd Sunday in Ordinary Time

The prophet Isaiah declares that the people who walked in darkness have seen a great light. God has restored their joy and smashed the rod of their taskmaster. Paul urges the Christian community at Corinth not to fall into factions but to be united in the same mind and in the same purpose. In the Gospel, Jesus calls his first disciples who respond to his invitation and follow him.

February 1, 2026: Fourth Sunday in Ordinary Time

Through the prophet Zephaniah the Lord informs his people that he will guard and care for the humble and those who take refuge in his holy name. In the second reading, Paul writes that the Lord chooses to call those who seem foolish, weak, and despised in the eyes of the world. In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus proclaims the beatitudes to the crowds.
