September 28, 2025 | 26th Sunday in Ordinary Time
In the first reading, God issues a warning through Amos to complacent and self-serving Israelites. In the second reading, Paul charges Timothy to live up to his call as a man of God until the appearance of our Lord Jesus Christ. In the Gospel, Jesus tells the parable of the rich man and Lazarus. The rich man received what was good during his lifetime while ignoring Lazarus’ suffering. In death, their situations are reversed.
